Minimum 1 academic semester

Full year: February – November (limited numbers)
Full year: July – May (limited numbers)
|Accommodation||Volunteer Host family (full board)|
The student will be placed with a volunteer host family/families for the duration of the student's program. The host family will provide sleeping accommodation, meals in the home and, at the family's option, lunch for school. Meals away from home, school lunch fees, and transportation to and from school are not provided by WEP or the host family. Transportation to and from school from a location near the host family's home may be by public transportation or provided by the school that the student attends. Host family will undertake an orientation and all family members over 18 will obtain a criminal history check or working with children check.
The student will be enrolled in an Australian secondary school. The designation of the year level the student will attend, class schedule and year-end attendance recognition is solely at the discretion of the school in which the student is enrolled. Students are never enrolled into Year 12 in July and subject choice may be restricted. The student must pay for school books, uniform, subject fees or levies, and any other fees charged by the school for extracurricular activities or sports programs.
WEP Australia provides an online orientation for students to access with or without their coordinator. The coordinator will always meet with the student within two weeks of arriving at their host family's home in Australia.
Each student is required by the Australian Government to purchase the national health insurance plan – Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), so the price is included in the general program fee. This is basic health cover and only covers the student while in Australia. If additional coverage is required for travel, pub
lic liability or specialist cover, it should be purchased before the student arrives in Australia and details sent to WEP. We strongly recommend the purchase of a separate policy.
AASES (Acceptance Advice for Sec
ondary Exchange Students) forms are provided by the government to WEP AUSTRALIA for student to obtain a 571 visa for the duration of the program, upon confirmation of host family/school and full payment of the program fee.
